This multidisciplinary and interactive session will introduce the emerging concepts of digital humanism, digital product passports and food hinterlands from societal, structural, and technical perspectives. We will then explore these concepts to address the pressing challenges of food waste, the establishment of the circular economy, and consumer data literacy effectively.

With a focus on human-centric perspective, we will discuss a set of key questions from the field to address power imbalances between producers, trade intermediaries, and consumers, as well as ensure the project outcomes are supporting the creation of a fair, sustainable, and prosperous digital society for all.
